Sesame Rice Balls
Ingredients
1 cup Cooked rice
1 cup chopped vegetables (carrot, beans, capsicum, spring onions)
1 tsp chopped green chili
1 tsp garlic (crushed)
2 tbls coriander leaves chopped
3 tbls Corn flour
2 tbls Honey
Salt as per taste
1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
2 tbls Sesame seeds for coating
Oil for deep frying
Water as required
Method
Heat 1 bls oil in a wok, add garlic, green chillies saute few seconds.
Add the vegetables and fry for approx 2-3 minutes.
Add salt, pepper powder and mix well. Keep aside and let it cool.
Mix cooked rice, vegetables and coriander leaves.
Add corn flour, and mix well. Mash the mixture with hands add water if feels difficult to mash.
Prepare small lemon sized balls with this dough and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes. Spread sesame seeds in plate and roll each ball in the sesame seeds and keep aside.
Heat oil in a heavy bottomed wok for deep frying and deep fry the rice balls on medium flame till they turn golden brown.
Remove the fried balls onto absorbent paper.
Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chatney of your choice.
